Motivation, The Heart of Self Improvement

Pain may sometimes be the reason why people change. Getting bad grades may make us realize that we need to study. Debts remind us of our inability to look for a source of income. Being humiliated gives us the ‘push’ to speak up and fight for ourselves to save our face from the next embarrassments. How to Become an Ideal Leader

Maslow’s Hierarchy

Recently, I was auditing a Leadership class, for a friend of mine, which was taking place for corporate managers, when the subject of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs came up.

As you are probable aware, Maslow was a psychologist who came up with a pyramid identifying the core needs of humans. The foundation of the pyramid is supported by Physiological needs, to include the basics of life support such as air, water and food, and then moves up through Safety, Social, Self-Esteem and ultimately Self-Actualization.
